I believe that the mind is more powerful if one learns how to direct it. Take fear, for example. Channeling one's fear helps achieve more in life. Fear is a habit and so is courage.
What is courage? Having fear and doing it anyway.
One of my favorite inspirational speakers is Tony Robins. Tony explains how to tackle and control one’s fear(s):
1. Have focus.
2. Ask yourself, do you focus on what you can control or what you cannot control?
3. Do you focus more on the past, the present or the future?
The only purpose of focusing on the past is to learn something so that you can improve in the future. It is not surprising that most achievers focus on the future.
